This basketball season has been very uneventful for people on the sideline such as Nathan Wohletz who has injured his fingers. However our Varsity Boys will have to push on in Nathan’s absence, who now spends games taking stats for the team. This unfortunate way of spending games lets Nathan take an outside perspective on how the team is doing and what we need to improve. Our team record is 1-3 for this season for Varsity Boys. Our team needs to work on boxing out and rebounding. A good example of this would be Chris as he has really come to life in the basketball game versus Bethlehem. Chris had 19 rebounds and 11 points. Chris set the pace of the game in first quarter in which he got 8 rebounds. Although they were down 12 to 4 in the first quarter the Rams came back and won at 48 to Bethlehem’s 42 points. In the games yesterday versus Gethsemane Nathan was able to return to the game. The JV Boys, Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys all won. Chris had a stunning 26 rebounds. What all our teams need to work on is defense at the top of the list making our free throws. As all teams move ahead in the season we pray that God will keep them safe, keep improving, and most importantly play to His glory.
