Every year since 2010, people have been doing a 'gobble wobble.' A gobble wobble is a 5 kilometer run on Thanksgiving morning. This event normally takes place at Clement Park. This year's race began at 8:30 on Thursday morning, November 26th. In this race, you do not have to run -- but if you want to win, you should run! Some people take their dogs and walk or run with them during the race since the dogs are welcome. This year, some of our teachers at Shepherd of the Hills did this race. But since this year we had snowfall, the Gobble Wobble was very cold. This race happens by volunteer work only. All the volunteers come and set up stuff and make the prizes. The prizes go to the top three males, the top three females, and to the top ten children ages 12 and under. The Gobble Wobble is a fundraiser that all the money is going to the organization Flight for Life. Each winner gets their first choice of pie after the run. This year, Mr. McPeak did the Gobble Wobble. Most people who go to the Gobble Wobble have a lot of fun and dress up for the occasion. I think the Gobble Wobble is a great way to raise money for Flight for Life. Flight for life is an air medical transport fundraiser.
