The basketball seasons are coming to a close. The end of the seasons are marked with tournaments. The JV boys had their tournament two weeks ago and took fourth place. Varsity girls had their tournament last weekend and won the consolation trophy along with the Christian Sportsmanship award. Congrats to Meghan who was selected for the all tournament team. The Varsity Boys have their tournament at Bethlehem this weekend.
After the basketball season ends we are off to the races with Track and Field. Practices start next week. Even Mr. Bradley is helping out with track. The Electronic Snowman says “Track is a good way to condition for other sports even if it is not your main sport.” The Chunky Chimichanga loves track and encourages other students to join the track team. Track is also a good way to get to know other students in school and students who are attending other schools. It is one of the most social sports especially at meets when you don’t have events for awhile. Track is fun not only because of the social aspects but you also get to see how much you have improved over the course of the season. -The Chunky Chimichanga

Before we start this article, The Chunky Chimichanga would like to apologize for spelling errors in the last article. Spelling is not one of The Chunky Chimichanga’s strong suits. The last article may not be the last time for spelling errors but the Electronic Snowman’s suggestion of spell check will be put to good use. This will take effect as soon as The Chunky Chimichanga figures out how to use spell check. Even in writing this article there were several spelling errors but thanks to the Electronic Snowman’s help (those words that were able to be heard through his laughter) the spelling mistakes were quickly dealt with. The Chunky Chimichanga would also like to add in that grammar is not a strong subject for The Chunky Chimichanga. Anyway let’s get this article started.
Congrats to the JV girls basketball team who had their tournament last weekend. They took 3rd place. They played Peace with Christ and won. This weekend is the JV boys' tournament at Shepherd of the Hills (our school in case you didn’t know). This is the tournament for the DALS (Denver Area Lutheran Schools). Their first game is on Friday at 5:00 p.m. against Zion. Come and support your JV boys' team and cheer them on for the win. -The Chunky Chimichanga |
