She shoots she…, Last weekend was the JV girls tournament. They had way too many close games. They won Gethsemane but it was a very close game. They played Zion and they went into over over time and won by only 1 basket which equals 2 points. Then they played Peace with Christ and lost so they were in the loser’s bracket, and played St. Johns they won by only one point. So they went up to the winner’s bracket again. They would for sure get 2nd place J. Even if they lost the last game. Then they were at the end of the game when she shot it bounced of the basket and missed. They wouldn’t have won if they ball went in but they would have been closer to winning at least. So must of the players came of the court crying but they were good sports and kept their heads held high. They had doughnuts after and then they were mostly happy. Then they told Peace with Christ that they could have doughnuts and then everything got loud and fun. Shepherd and Peace were talking and eating when Coach Soderquist announced the winners of the yogurtland gift cards. Then everybody went home. So even though they didn’t win they did really good. Go Rams!

We've had an exciting past week in our winter sports. Last week on Tuesday we played one of our toughest games with our rivals, St. John's. All four of our teams played well but in the end we lost sorely. JV girls and boys played very well considering that they were playing one of the toughest teams in the DALS league. The highlight of the JV girls game was that they started the game well. The highlight of the JV boys game was that they played against a very hard team. The Varsity girls and boys defended well. The highlight of the Varsity girls game is that they played against close friends that they knew formerly from Shepherd. Our best game was our Varsity boys game in which we lost by two points. Here are the scores for the evening: JV Girls - 16 to 6 points for Shepherd, JV Boys - 46 to 2 points for Shepherd, Varsity Girls - 21 to 2 points for Shepherd, and Varsity Boys - 31 to 29 points for Shepherd. It was an exciting evening even though we couldn't come home with a win. All teams were excited for the following game on Friday. It was canceled, though, and their hopes were dashed against the hard wood floor of their basketball lives, shattered like so many NBA backboards. See you at the next game.

Since I am not a hhuuugggeee football fan (even though I do like football), this will probably be the most boring thing you will ever read. Here goes!!!! The Cowboys are in the lead in the NFC, and other contenders are the Falcons, Seahawks, and Packers. The Patriots are in the lead in the AFC. The other division leaders are the Steelers, Chiefs, and Texans. I am not going to list all those other teams that didn’t make it, because that will get even more boring, if that’s possible. The Bears, like normal, didn’t make it. It’s hard to remember when they even won the SUPER BOWL!!!! I KNOW , THEY ACTUALLY WON A SUPER BOWL???? I will always remain a Bears’ fan, however. That’s a hint to my identity!! You may be wondering how I know all this stuff if I’m not a hhhuuugggeee football fan. It’s helpful to have a computer, isn’t it??? In case you didn’t want to read all that, you can just look at the chart. By: The Duchess of Deadly Hiccups in the Hall |
