With the last month of the school year comes a very contagious disease called end-of-the-year-itis and even the more dangerous form of the disease eighth-grader-itis. Most of the middle school has it and it is not even May yet! Even right now The Chunky Chimichanga is suffering from the symptoms, and therefore has to push to right this. The Chunky Chimichanga just realized that in writing about the laziness symptom, he just wrote more than he would had he not wrote about it.
Symptoms of end-of-the-year-itis include but are not limited to: 1. Out of the usual laziness. 2. Extreme sleepiness. 3. Walking out the door with a swimsuit on, only to realize its fifty degrees outside. 4. Taking naps at sport practices. 5. Out of the normal laughing attacks. 6. Writing about end-of-the-year-itis. 7. Extreme zoning out. 8. Wanting the year to be over. If you have any or all of these symptoms please build yourself a time machine and take the middle school with you to the beginning of summer. Mr. Bradley used some really big words to describe it and the only thing The Chunky Chimichanga can understand was laziness and wanting the year to be over. -The Chunky Chimichanga

A swarm of monkey cavalry riding on cows with the banana swords riding into the depths of the dark rhino controlled jungle. Who knows the weight of fear these monkeys face as the travel where few monkeys have been before. – Five Star Banana General Ooh Ooh Aah, in a fake letter to The Chunky Chimichanga. Well that had nothing to do with this but it sure got your attention.
Before spring break we had the Science Fair. Congrats to Chris who won first place. Unfortunately that week was also the week when everyone was sick. We had a judge come out from Lutheran High where all the eighth graders will be going. As we return from spring break and Easter we are in for a long stretch to the end of school. We are in the process of getting back into a routine and back into shape for most of the track runners who didn’t run over break. Also we are working on getting the musical together now that we have all the parts assigned. The end of the year might seem like a quarter a way (which it is) but it will go by fast. Let’s start off the fourth quarter with a good start with grades. -The Chunky Chimichanga |
