Basketball is beginning. Yes, we are a few weeks in but the games are coming up soon. Out with the old (volleyball, soccer) and in with the new (basketball). Basketball at Shepherd has four divisions - varsity girls, JV girls, varsity boys, and JV boys. Our first game is on December 6th. The girls’ first game is against Gethsemane at St. Johns. Yes, weird right. But that is what is happening. Anyway, you can’t win a game without practice so… Practice makes perfect, well actually you can never be perfect because only Jesus can but you know what I mean. Most of practice is running, working hard, and perfecting (or at least as good as we can get so, because we can never be perfect like Jesus) their plays. Basketball is hard work, but lots of fun. I should know; I am on the team (hint to who I am). You can never have too many players because you can always have an A and a B team. When we have a home game you should come and see us play. The more fans the better. Plus, you get to see little cheerleaders cheer on the sides of the court. Come and support Shepherd Basketball!

I, Princess Peaches Pygmy Puff, am many things. Directionally Challenged? Yes. A Kitten lover? Of course! But a basketball player? Never!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As I do not partake in the sport of baskets and balls, I have no idea what is happening with that. According to my basketball playing friends nothing is happening. Just practices. Their first game is in two weeks. However, I know a lot about Spirit Squad! There are two new members: Chloe and Moriah. That brings the Junior Squad up to five whole girls! If you are interested in becoming a Cheerleader, talk to Julia or Kyra. They can help introduce you to the right people. I still need one hundred words so… Once upon a time, many years ago, there were 5 trees surrounding the field. Two trees were deemed execution worthy and were promptly chopped down, leaving only fearsome stumps in their place. Their lumber was taken to a map manufacturer and was turned into a map we know as Rand McNally. It just so happens that Rand was hung up in the very school where he was maliciously cut down. Meanwhile, Bob had met the love of his life: Jenna. They spent many a starlit recess together, but it was not to last. Soon Bob and Jenna broke up for unknown reasons (a scandalous cheating???). Rand heard about this accusation and remembered his undying friendship. He decided he would take matters into his own methods (he doesn’t have hands), he refused to sit quietly and watch Jenna hurt his best friend. One day Jenna was near him, he attacked! He tried to wrestle her to the ground, but failed! Jenna attempted to pin Rand up again but failed! No one remembers how, but the fight concluded. To Be Continued Next Article! Run away, foes! Be very afraid, Shepherd opponents! Basketball season is here… and Shepherd has arrived!
