Track is Back
Hello Usain Bolts of Shepherd of the Hills. On April 7, 2016, the Shepherd track team had their first meet of the season at Englewood High School. It was very hot, but some amazing things happened. Our very own Chris Worthing placed first in the four hundred meter run, the two hundred meter run, and the one hundred meter run. He even broke the school records for the four hundred meter run and the two hundred meter run. Nathan Wohletz had a couple words to say, “He was extremely fast and he is probably going break even more records next year, and I’m sad that my records are broken.” When asked about the overall performance of the track meet, Mr. Bradley said, “I think it went well and I’m proud of how our runners ran and how our throwers threw.” Some other very interesting things occurred at the meet. Nathan Wohletz attempted to do a long jump. He jumped off his heel, landed on one foot, the other foot swung behind him, and he performed a spectacular somersault. As Nathan completed his gymnastic routine his dad, Pastor Wohletz, yelled from the sideline, “Style points!” If you would like to come out and see the track squad, they have meets on April 13 at Englewood High School and on April 16 at Bear Creek High School. Have a wonderific day!
