Sportiness is back again! Those of us who are track lovers, not train tracks, know that we are not really prepared to run or do anything else today. The last article, gives much information about this, so I won’t go into much detail about it. But, we aren’t prepared and that’s the truth! We’ve only gone to Arapahoe twice, and that adds up to….not preparedness! Anyway, there are lots of people on the track team this year. I won’t name them, because then you would possibly be able to guess who I am. But I will say that I run. There you go! A hint to my identity! The real identity! The track meet today is at Englewood High School, which is the same place that the middle school is. (and some people say Middleschool is two words!!) They are two buildings connected to each other! At least, that’s what the track coach, Mr. Bradley said. How will we get there? By boat or train or plane? None of those! We’re going by car. Going by boat seems a little odd because there’s no water between here and there, and going by plane is a little crazy. Plane is inefficient because, well, it doesn’t take that long to get there, and basically you’d get on the plane, travel about five minutes, and get off the plane. And besides, there aren’t any landing strips around here. Unless I’m uninformed…….It’s nice to be back! Thank you everyoine! And goodbye! Until next time!

Track and Field is coming up at Shepherd of the Hills. Mr. Bradley is the head coach of the team. I got a chance to interview him today and this is what he said.
Interviewer: What is your favorite thing this year about the track team? Mr. Bradley: That we’re so young and that we can learn so much. Interviewer: What are you most excited for this year about track? Mr. Bradley: The amount of meets we have. We have six scheduled with the possibility of two more. Interviewer: Can we expect to see new faces on the track team this year? Mr. Bradley: yes. We have several new Fifth graders and a seventh graders and some fourth graders. Interviewer: And finally, what is your favorite activity in track? Mr. Bradley: My favorite activity is sprinting because that’s what I was when I was in track however since I’ve been running longer distances I enjoy coaching our mile runners. So in conclusion, of this interview we can expect to see some new faces in the track team this year! This year I think it is safe to say that our track team is going to do very well and have a lot of fun! Track starts March 28 which is the week after spring break! By: The Um of Umbridge If you happened to walk into the gym on Monday, February 6th, you might have seen an odd sight. It’s not everyday that the Shepherd varsity girls’ team plays themselves! However, due to a sudden explosion of sickness on the opposing team, the Shepherd girls did just that. I think it’s safe to say that Shepherd won that game!
The varsity boys, however, did not beat Peace with Christ, though they did play very well. It doesn’t help when the opposing team is made up of a bunch of giants! Speaking of giants, the varsity girls played another team with a bunch of really tall people at their tournament last weekend! (I think that everyone here needs to grow an inch at the very least!) Though the girls lost both their games against Bethlehem and Gethsemane, they had a lot fun playing the last games of their season! (And eating a whole ton of cupcakes!) Another tournament is happening this weekend at Bethlehem. The varsity boys will play their last games of the season in this tournament, and hopefully blow off the competition!! Their first game is at 4:15 on Friday. Go and cheer on the team! I’ll see you there!! By: The Reading Random Roaring Radical Raging Raiding Radiant Zebra |
