Hello ping pong paddles of Shepherd of the Hills! Since basketball is the greatest sport on this earth (This is a proven fact by George McHenry) our Athletic Director, Mr. Poppe, put together two times for kids and adults to play basketball after school. On Monday, he organizes an offseason practice of sorts. He has the students shoot around for a little while and then they play a scrimmage. Lately, he has been not allowing passing for parts of the scrimmage. This is a great time for basketball players to work on their skills for next season. Mr. Poppe also organizes a time for adults to play pick-up basketball games on Tuesdays. This includes high school and middle school students also. I, the Electronic Snowman, was invited to play but I thought it would be best to keep my identity a secret. Instead I play on Wednesdays with the Chunky Chimichanga. So if you are a student at Shepherd wanting to improve your basketball skills, stop by the gym on Mondays to play and work. If you are a parent or an adult that is not creep reading the Shepherd’s Post, stop by the gym on Tuesdays to play some pick-up basketball games. I hope to see you at the gym! Have a marvelous day!
