First of all JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSS…
Jesus is the reason for the season. The end. Just kidding! This article CANNOT be this short… Welcome back, Sherpherders? What are we? Oh yeah- Rams. I, for one, am happy that I get to go back to school after winter break (who’s excited??!!). In this crazy season, we usually forget what it’s all about. Presents, decorations, holiday traditions, and visitations with family are the craze during the holidays. An interesting question first, though: Why do we say happy holidays when there’s only two, but in February (a very special month for me) when there’s more, we don’t say anything special about them? Anyway, the reason for the season is sometimes lost in all the hustle and bustle. What is the reason for the season? Maybe it could be the Christmas Day service, which somehow seems to take longer than usual….But that doesn’t make much sense. It could possibly be the excitement, the anxiousness of waiting for Santa then opening presents on Christmas, but that isn’t it either. The reason for the season is often missed, but it is very important. For us to understand the reason for the season, we have to look time and time again at the nativity scene. As we take in Mary, Joseph, shepherds, and wonder where all the sheep went, we realize that Jesus is the true reason for the season. Jesus is the reason for any season! He created the seasons!
